She was new to our school
Bright, happy and full of light
Though not in same class, she was the person I searched first everyday that did pass
She knew it and marked her presence by her big eyes everytime we crossed paths
Her aura made my music lessons so endearing
That having her around left my friends cheering
Love for her made me love my school more
My vote for extra classes left my parents in awe to the core
That was our story- routine, sweet but silent
Then came the last day, with my school, with her around
As I emptied my locker, I realised.. to her it belonged more
That night she was there amongst her friends wearing pink, like a fairy
One look of her made my heart beat fast and edgy
I waved at her which, among hundred pairs of clapping hands, was acknowledged
She tiptoed to me.. Each step she took felt like bubbles hitting the ground
She uttered my name first time in seven thirty days... the world froze and my body too
Still some drops of sweat hit my forehead
A different kind of chemistry which my teacher never taught
With stammering tongue, I asked her for a walk
She nodded yes while I expected a smack
In the cold December, I felt spring flowers falling all around the corridor
which was empty but I felt protected like never before
We walked in silence yet speaking volumes
As I touched her finger, a current passed across me
A different kind of physics, we were never told about
Her smile to my proposal, made blood rush to my cheeks and my heart for a run
Again a different kind of biology, we were not aware of
She was that new girl in school
whom I searched first everyday that did pass
Bright, happy.. in the darkest hour of that night
She filled my life with forever light
Light unto you
