Today he came to meet me bouncing with sheer excitement.
He asked me how his appearance is.
Without waiting for my reply, he added.. 'This is the first time in 20 years I could stitch a safari suit for myself'.
When I said it's the best I have ever seen in my life, he felt I am mocking him.
He didn't utter a word in return.. With a slight frown, which he tried his best to hide, he got up to leave.
I didn't let him go, instead held his hand firmly and said.. It's not the price of a cloth that makes an individual charming but the happiness and confidence it adds to oneself.
Trust me, never before have I seen a person shine so bright with such pure happiness and pride. This is a happiness you dreamt of, you earned and hence for me, it is the best ever and priceless.
There was no vocal response again.. but I could see tides of joy rising in his eyes.. which this time.. he didn't try to hide.
