Across the street, I was walking
Drop after drop, it started pouring
Unfolding my umbrella, I saw her at a corner
Fear or cold, she was shivering
I waved at her, as an invite to join
Her big eyes shot a question
which my smile was able to answer
We began walking, she seemed to wither
All the way, she stared at horizon with no words spoken
But the rhythm of her breath did all the talking
In those fifteen minutes of dusk, I felt I found the one
with whom I can share anything but everything in silence
Reaching the destination, she left but she left her with me
