I felt your steps slowing down a little

For a moment, I wished them to stop and take a turn 

As you walked away today..

I felt my life taking a reverse with its pages flipping backwards 

For a moment, I wished to have all but one of them burn down to ashes

I felt a raindrop slowly kissing my cheeks 

For a moment, I wished to have a storm to wash off my flowing despair

I felt my vision going blur and hazy

For a moment, I wished to erase the sight by clasping my eyes

I felt the wind stopped gushing and earth embracing silence 

For a moment, I wished the heart to switch off its beats and retire in peace at least for a while
