Stroll

As I was on my regular stroll, I spotted him having his dinner.. Not to disturb, I just silently walked past him. But out of habit, he stood up and saluted me. I told him Never to get up while having food, even if it's God that's standing before you.. His eyes got wet. I became perplexed. Upon asking reason, he told me 'Madam, People like me are just like furnitures, we dont exist for others.. Today, first time someone noticed me and showed concern.. I will never forget this..God will bless you'.. My throat choked.. All I could do is offer him a feeble smile.
